The present study analyzes the semantics of verses 19-21 of Surah Al-Mutaffafin from the perspective of the interpretations of the sects and examines the three key words "Ali'in", "Kitab Al-Marqum", and "Mughrabun". This study, using the descriptive-analytical method, has examined the lexical and interpretative meaning of these words. The results of the study show that the word "Ali'in" is introduced in most interpretations as a symbol of the high status of the righteous in the afterlife and a heavenly place. The "Kitab Al-Marqum" as a divine document is considered a symbol of absolute justice in recording human deeds and is in a high position with God. Also, the word "Mughrabun" means angels or righteous individuals who enjoy a special position with God and testify to the deeds of the righteous. The analysis of these verses indicates the key role of Quranic words in explaining the moral concepts and value system of Islam. The present study also emphasizes the differences and similarities between Shia and Sunni interpretive perspectives on these verses and shows that these perspectives, despite some differences, believe in common principles regarding divine justice and the importance of righteous deeds. In addition, these findings can help deepen Quranic understanding and develop comparative interpretive studies.
