Explanation and interpretation of social issues by using verses of the Quran and its connection with living issues is one of the approaches of social commentators of the present century. Resistance is a Quranic and localized word and is the result of the Islamic Revolution and the civilizational thought of Imam Khomeini (RA) in the present era, which has entered the arena of political and social life to respond and compensate for the backwardness of Islamic societies and eliminate the inadequate understanding of Islam and invalidate the theory of the decline of Islam in the twentieth century. Despite all this effort in the present era, the discussion of it faces challenges that arise from the tendency towards beliefs and traditions left over from past centuries. The explanation and extraction of social thought in living issues on the presence and role of the Quran in life becomes more necessary than ever. In this regard, the Quranic teachings with their interpretative approach to the issue of resistance lead to the creation of a civilization based on the teachings of the Quran.
On this basis, His Eminence's interpretive and Quranic perspective on the issue of resistance and its dimensions, which is a living issue in human societies, has been presented with the aim of beautifying the face of Islam from its shortcomings and proving its capabilities. Resistance in the Supreme Leader's Quranic and interpretive thought is a model of Islamic social life. This model is monotheistic and stands in contrast to the human-centered model and plays a pivotal role in the political and social formation and changing the behavior of Muslims. In his view, resistance in the Quran has a dynamic and multidimensional concept, meaning that in addition to the military dimension and repelling aggression, it has a positive approach that he addressed by utilizing the verses of the Quran. Based on verse 11 of Surah Ra'd, he considers social miracles and progress to be directly related to the will of humans. The study of this issue has been carried out in a descriptive and analytical manner and shows that resistance and its dimensions in the Quran seek to create a responsible connection between man and the needs of his social life with God and are a manifestation of social monotheism that focuses on meeting basic needs, including justice, fighting poverty, and breaking dependence, the deviation from which causes corruption on earth, and also emphasizes the necessity of resistance to principles and goals, the deviation from which is not justifiable under any circumstances. Utilizing the interpretative thought of the Most High provides the grounds for confronting non-divine domination and sovereignty and for comprehensive social growth and development in meeting basic human needs and responds to the social doubts of Islam.
