Ghena has been known a feqhi topic viewed about by all Muslim foqaha from all denominations since beginning of this field of study. In their studies, however, little attention has been paid to the capability of the Quran for the subject. Qarzavi may be known the only one paying attention to the Quran in his study of the topic. Analyzing Quranic verses, he has known ghena to be lawful. Reviewing Shiite and Sunni foqaha`s views briefly, Qarzavi`s view has been studied critically and, with a Quranic approach, ghena`s essential state of being forbidden has been proved. In addition, as viewing essentially or accidentally ghena as forbidden is regarded as an important and complicated topic in fiqh, the capability of verses and traditions has been explained.
