The present study seeks to evaluate the views of fariqain commentators in the interpretation of verse 36 of Noor, regarding its meaning and example. This verse refers to the houses that have been raised. Despite Wahhabism's belief in forbidding the sanctification of holy places and refraining from rferring to the works of the ancients, the word of God has exalted places, and as a result of this, honoring these examples has been made necessary for the Islamic society. The result of the writing is that some fariqain commentators have mentioned mosques as an example of the holy verse and have considered its "exaltation" as building a mosque or honoring it. Other commentators have considered the meaning of the verse as the houses of the prophets and the house of the Holy Prophet (s) and his family and viewed the exaltation as honoring their shrines and keeping them from destruction. And, finally, the third knows the exaltation as the mission and Imamate and believe that the meaning of exaltation is the position of closeness and the holy beings of the Ahl al-Bayt (a). Assessing the view of the commentators in introducing the mosque as the exclusive example of the verse, indicates that the inclusion of the example of the verse has the narrative validity and complies with the rules of interpretation.
