The holy verse »Lo! those who believe (in that which is revealed unto thee, Muhammad), and those who are Jews, and Christians, and Sabaeans whoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right surely their reward is with their Lord, …«, has been centered on by commentators during recent decades. Some intellectuals have relied upon this verse and viewed pluralism as true; on their comments all religions before Islam to be right. The part of the verse saying: whoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right surely their reward is with their Lord, has taken by them a clear evident for pluralism. The paper relying on scientific considerations has argued that this verse and other verses in the field do not support such a view; on the contrary, they clearly ask the people of the book to believe in the Prophet (s). As is well-understood, with appearance of Islam validity of other religions ended and Islam has been divinely considered as the last religion for guiding all people. |
