Abstract:   (219 Views)
One of the most important duties of the religious government is to implement the commandments and prohibitions in order to reform the society. The commentators of the Holy Quran have mentioned the role of the government in fulfilling this duty. The purpose of this article is to compare the role of the government in the implementation of the duty of commanding the good and forbidding the bad from the point of view of the early and late commentators of the Fariqain. The present study investigated the views of the commentators with a documentary and analytical method. For this purpose, the viewpoints of the commentators were examined in the verses in the field, especially verses 104 of Al-e Imran and 41 of Hajj, and were divided into several sections. The findings of this study showed that the early commentators have paid less attention to the role of the government in fulfilling this duty, but the later commentators emphasize the necessity of the government entering this category and have specified a duty for the government in this field. The result is that the necessity of the government's involvement in the issue of commanding and forbidding is increasing, and this indicates that religious governments, in order to implement Islamic rules, must structure the issues related to this obligation.
Keywords: Verse 104 of Al-e Imran, Verse 41 of Hajj, Religious Government, Commanding the Good, Forbidding the Bad.
