The expression "But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors." refers to sexual education, which continuously affects families and societies. Considering the effect of religious, jurisprudential and social approaches on the subject of this verse, the present research aims to answer the question: what approach have the exegetical books of Fariqin adopted to the transformation of the subject of the verse? For this purpose, this article, by accepting the premise that parallel to the occurrence of new phenomena related to the subject of the verse, the interpretive attitudes of fariqain are also experiencing transformation, has examined their conceptual, practical and jurisprudential points of the interpretations on “beyond that”. And finally, the authors reached two major interpretive points of view: one limiting the meaning of the verse to forbidden sexual relations and the other generality of the verse and its inclusion on all illicit sexual behaviors. The results of the research show that both views have received the attention of commentators of fariqain and the slight difference in some examples may not be taken as oppositional, but the analysis of the examples that the Shia and Sunni commentators have given for sexual sins is based on the verse. It indicates the gradual dominance of the view of inclusive and unlimitted view over time.
