The verse of tabligh, which is one of the prominent verses on the subject of vilayat, has been the subject of debate among commentators throughout history. Contrary to the opinion of the majority of Sunni commentators, the opinion of the majority of Shia commentators indicates that the verse refers to the guardianship of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (a). Of course, the narrations indicating this meaning are not limited to the narrative sources of the Shiites and are also reflected in some narrative sources of the Sunnis. On this basis, it is not unlikely that the differences regarding the meaning of the verse have their roots in something other than the hadiths, and that is how to understand the connection between the verse of tabligh and the verses of ahli kitab. Misunderstanding of this relationship has provided the ground for the proposal of contextual inconsistency in the argument to the verse of tabligh on the vilayat of Amir al-Mu'minin (a). In this regard, a descriptive-analytical look at the point of view and its origin shows: whether the verse of tabligh has a descending connection with the verses of ahli kitab or not, considering the implication of the verses of ahli kitab is not based upon the verse of tabligh and the change of tone in the verse, the verse tabligh is a mu`tarizih verse; Also, the verse tabligh is related to the verses of ahli kitab by referring to the guardianship of Amir al-Mu'minin (a). The narrations issued by the pure Imams (a) regarding the verse tabligh was a clever attempt to prove the contextual incorrect view.
