Abstract:   (1921 Views)
The holy Quran has a two-way remark about the request of reward of the prophets' mission. Narrated from the prophets and the last of the prophets (p.b.u.h), some of the verses have negated the demanding of the mission wages on the prophets' part and have taken it into account as a specific thing to the lofty God while in some verses such as 53 Furqan, 43 Saba', and 23 Shura, wage and reward is requested from people for prophetic mission and prophesy. Providing the Quran commentators' opinions about this issue and explaining these two groups of verses, this paper aims at removing the apparent conflict between them and by conceptualizing the words mavaddah and Qurba and also analyzing the type of exception in the verse "I ask of you no fee therefor, save loving kindness among kinsfolk" and arguing against the view claiming the verse being abrogated, attempts to analyze this issue. Finally, the researchers believe that the reward of the last of the prophet's mission is nothing but treating his innocent and sacred ahl ul-Bayt amicably.
Keywords: mavadah verses, kindness to the kinsfolk, prophetic mission reward, abrogation, exception
