Abstract: (218 Views)
The expression “Ayyam Allah” (Days of God) appears twice in the Holy Quran (Ibrahim/5; Al-Jathiyah/14). Exegetes have proposed various views regarding the concept of this Quranic term, including: the day of punishment and reward, the day of blessing and adversity, the events of past nations, the day of the reappearance of the Imam of the Time (Mahdi) (may Allah hasten his appearance), the day of the Return (Rajʿah), the day of Purgatory (Barzakh), and the Day of Resurrection. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, this study first traces the roots of the words “Yawm” (Day) and “Ayyam” (Days) in Arab and Quranic culture; subsequently extracts and categorizes the existing views concerning the aforementioned verses. By evaluating the evidence for each view and examining the thematic connection of the verses in these two surahs, the research demonstrates that “Ayyam Allah” represents an ongoing divine tradition manifested across all human societies; namely, the tradition of the victory of truth over falsehood and revenging from oppressors. Ultimately, this article establishes that the most prominent manifestation of “Ayyam Allah” within the nation of the Prophet (PBUH) can be interpreted as the era of the reappearance of Hazrat Qa’im (PBUH).
