The word purification and its derivatives have been mentioned 25 times in Quran. Purifying one`s soul is of essential effect in human salvation, Quran, therefore, has considerably attended to it. The reason why lies in the fact that without purifying human soul from deviations in religious belief, morality and behavior one never would get happiness. Having presented semantic of the word and definition of morality based on the well-known view, the paper studies three moral ways of philosophers, Divine prophets and monotheistic morality of Quran. Allameh Tabatabaie has viewed the third as the correct one in accordance to Quranic verses. He has taken it to be of the same meaning as soul purification. The ways have respectively known earthly demands, hereafter rewards and Divine approximation as the aim for one`s leaving of evils and getting goods.

Some verses of Quran, including the sixteenth of Naml and the sixth of Maryam, have clearly referred to messengers` inheritance. The subject has been viewed differently by Sunni and Shiite commentators. Two hypotheses can be presented in the field, one knowing them as usual men and the other as those of higher degree for God. On the former one can speak of their inheritance. They inherit and leave inheritance both. While on the latter, neither they are heir nor leave any inheritance. The paper, dividing inheritance into two: material and spiritual, has known the differences to be of little importance. Fariqain , the two main Muslim parties, commentators, therefore, can be regarded in agreement. Leaving what in common, the paper has surveyed commentators` different points of view.

The paper has reviewed a historical line of Quran scientific commentary as attended by commentators and researchers in the field of Quranic studies. Describing the manner in which different forms of thought on scientific miracles happened, authors have tried to study the methods used by commentators in the field to prepare the ground for a better understanding of Quranic teachings. To do so, historical periods of scientific miracles have been divided into four: appearance, compilation, propagation and expurgation; in this way, the methods in Ghazzali, Tasarsi and Tantaw`s schools have been studied comparatively and, finally, that of Tabarsi`s school has been introduced as the best.

More than 700 verses of the holey Quran refer to such scientific fields as ontology, physics and biology. Muslim commentators, therefore, have attended to scientific comment of Quran to prove scientific statements in it. Increasing development of experimental sciences and technology during last century caused commentators pay much attention to scientific comment of Quran. Partowi az Quran, a Quranic commentary by seyyed Mahmood Taleqani, is among those using the method in some cases. Although the commentary includes some few parts of Quran and possesses such considerable privileges as awareness toward the damages of scientific comments of Quran and scientific miracles, it needs expurgation in some parts with regard to principles, method and content.

Subject-based commentary is one of the methods more used by commentators in recent decades than before. In this method, commentators may take a Quranic subject on the basis of inter-Quranic or metaphysical fields, or on the grounds of individual and social life. This method differs from that of Quran to Quran. The latter would lead to explanation and deep perception of the meaning of Quranic words or verses. While the former is taken to perceive Quranic message, explain a special point from Quran or infere a Quranic theory or view on a subject.

One of the methods for Quranic commentary is nowadays regarded as Quran to Quran commentary method. The method is originally known to be that of the Prophet and Immams when commenting holey Quran. The study includes a brief comparison between Al-Tafsir ul-Qurani lil-Quran and Al-Mizan fi tafsir al-Quran respectively by Abdolkarim Khatib and Mohammadhosein Tabatabaie. As the commentators have used Quran to Quran method of commentary, the paper has intended to study some of the former`s commentary views with those of the latter`s comparatively. Though the commentators have used the same method, the former has based his approach more upon thinking over Quranic verses and free reasoning, without any attention to prophetic traditions and to the views of other commentators.

By exceptional verses is meant makki verse in madani chapter and madani verse in makki chapter. There cannot be found any reference to this theory in sources in first and second century of Hijri. In the third, however, it was found on a small scale; in the next two centuries, the number of the cases increased gradually and in the sixth and seventh it came to its ultimate point. Therefore, there can be found 197 madani verses in makki chapters and, 26 makki verses in madani ones in the sources. Scholars in the field of Quranic sciences have defined makki and madani chapters on different standards of address, place and time. The paper has known time as the best and, presenting the proofs of those believing in exceptions critically, rejected the theory.
