Examining the opinions of the commentators, following verse 46 of Surah Baqara In philosophy, using "suspicion of resurrection" instead of "certainty of the hereafter"
Abstract:   (428 Views)
In verse 46 of Surah Al-Baqarah (suspicion of meeting God and suspicion of resurrection) is introduced as one of the positive attributes of the humble worshipers, while verse 4 of this Surah considers "certainty" in the Hereafter as one of the attributes of the believers.
Since there is a kind of contradiction and inconsistency between "belief in the resurrection" and "certainty about it", there seems to be a kind of conflict between the two verses! And the commentators, under verse 46 of Surah Al-Baqarah, have tried to eliminate the apparent and initial conflict between the two verses and to explain the philosophy of using the term "suspicion" instead of "certainty".
This study, in reviewing about one hundred interpretive sources, has obtained ten interpretive expressions and has included them in three main views: 1- Suspicion means certainty (which most commentators believe in) 2- Suspicion tends to certainty 3- Distinguishing the meaning of "suspicion" And "certainty" and the attempt to resolve the conflict through virtual or suspicious use, which according to this study, the third view is more compatible with the criteria and interpretive criteria.
